TaylorMade M4 vs M6 Driver
TaylorMade M4 Driver Review
The M4 Driver introduces the twist face technology. This engineering procedure is a curvature of the face that assist with off-center hits. Side spin is reduced and straighter shots are delivered. The hammerhead slot increases the sweet spot which increases speed and distance. Geocoustic technology utilizes a change in the shape of the sole to deliver exceptional feel and more solid hits. TaylorMade was able to increase the clubface with a 67% larger sweet spot.
TaylorMade M6 Driver Review
The M6 Driver builds on the twist face technology from the M4 and adds speed injection technology. The driver head is injected with a tuning resin to optimize COR (essentially means more distance). This process maximizes ball speed and distance with performance at or near legal limits. The carbon sole has been redesigned aerodynamically to provide an increase in clubhead speed. There is 54% more carbon than the M4 which allows for more weight to be housed in the Inertial Generator (maximizes forgiveness). The improved hammerhead design produces an even larger sweet spot than the M4.
